A Kiss and a Song

He says my name like a forehead kiss,
soft and sure, whispers in breezes.
Love on his lips.

He holds my heart like it’s my hand,
gentle and assuring, warmth in flames.
I know he won’t let go.

Eyelashes flutter as we stare into the depths of one another.
I wonder if he truly sees my soul…
See how it etches his image, hums his name.

Our heartbeats are the melody and harmony of a love song without words,
An instrumental
And when we collide,
It crescendos.

He is a vibe, me, an experience.
Together we create a moment.

He’s a sunset and I rise like the sun,
We are acoustics that bounce off walls,
Loud and profound, a vibrato that never fades.

He says my name with a forehead kiss.
His affection on repeat,
Our song stuck in my head.

What do these words of love speak to you?
