Conversations on Creativity Part Two

This year, Indelible Ink Writers launched a podcast called, Ink and Soul.

Ink and Soul has brought creatives from all walks of life and with varying passions to the table to engage in powerful conversations that both inspire and challenge us to broaden our horizons on what it means to be a “creative” and how our gifts can be used in and for the world.

Here is an overview of our last 5 episodes!

The Ministry of Music
On this episode, we discussed music, ministry, and creativity with Jelani Aswad, an ordained pastor with the Christian & Missionary Alliance.

Jelani also helps to lead The Launching Pad Music Group as its Chief Operating Officer. As a professional vocalist and recording artist, Jelani has shared the stage with leaders like Francis Chan, Aaron Schust, Tim Keller, Cece Winans, and John Piper. As a recording artist under the name, Jelani Aswad, he has released two full-length albums and is currently producing Grace Church's debut worship album. Penning Poetry Through Pain

On this episode, Tiffany Najbart of Indelible Ink Writers shared with us the beauty of penning poetry through pain.

Tiffany is a poet and writer from Saint Louis, Missouri. A lover of the written word from a young age, Tiffany enjoys playing with words and using them to explore the complex questions and experiences of life. She can frequently be found tucked away in her hammock with a good book, appreciating the latest Taylor Swift song, or admiring the latest creature she has crossed paths with.

Looking for the Lovely in Life
We explored the practice of looking for lovely in life and art with Rachel Jacobson in this episode.

Rachel serves authors as a literary agent at Alive Literary. She is passionate about helping authors hone their ideas, uncover their own generative creativity, and share their message—because she wholeheartedly believes books can be a positive force for good in the world. She draws on her marketing and business experience and a strong creative eye to help authors tap into marketplace needs and catch the attention of publishers. Rachel lives in Oregon’s beautiful Willamette Valley (the traditional land of the Kalapuyans) with her husband, Blair. A self-proclaimed ambivert, she will undoubtedly say yes to 80s dance nights, bike rides, and (unsurprisingly) good books.

She enjoys entering into the quieter places of people's lives in a safe setting to offer hope and help others taste of the land of milk + honey. She and her husband, Ben, have three young children and live in a small town near Charlotte, North Carolina.
