I am broken.
And I am
Loved.

Gripped with uncertainty
My bones,
my mind,
my very soul
feel weak.

I cry out.
Out
and out
and out.
Desperate.

To find that
I am held,
I am cradled.
Even here.
Even now.

Within the waiting
Within the crushing
In my anguish
You are here.

Kanohi ki te kanohi : Face to face.
Always face to face
with me.

And if I
can’t look you in the eye…
What then?

Well, then you sit,
You kneel,
You stand,
You lay,
By my side.

Ever present.

Offering your presence.

Inviting me
To dare trust you remain.

Even when I can’t see you,
make eye contact
or turn around.

Even when I’m hurling
words like daggers
Towards your tenderness.

You capture me
with Grace.

Here.
Now.
I am
Beloved.
