She jumped into the deep end, knowing she didn’t know how to swim.
She flapped her arms and fluttered her legs as the water began to take her under.
She stopped resisting.
It was her fate.
Eyes closed, she sunk into a memory of bright colors—of a spirited life.
Then, she realized it was not a memory. She had not lived such a life.
No, instead, it was a call to action.
She wanted to swim, but she didn’t believe she could.
So, her body did not do what her heart did not feel.
She needed to release the strongholds.
She let go of each.
And when she came to in the hospital bed, she cried joyfully for the rebirth.
She was going to live.
It was her fate.

And so it was—she understood that her life was not in vain. She became at home in the presence of God.
“You make known to me the path of life;
in your presence there is fullness of joy;
at your right hand are pleasures forevermore.” – Psalm 16:11 ESV
