Between us.
The light dwells within and
Around us.

Praises usher out
Smiles reach deep
Lips utter truth
Souls are released.

Who are you to love me so?
How can I reside so close?
Your embrace
My escape
Our holy state.

Silence befalls
And we forget what’s been lost
We watch in quiet
As time slows to a crawl.

Could we just stay here
Beleaguered yet brave
Could we stay motionless
Could we remain?

You are to me
As I am to you
Fleeting yet steady
Uncertain yet true.
